Veterinarian
Tell us about your career from when you graduated college up to this point.
Since graduating from Iowa State University CVM with my DVM in 2018, I’ve worked as an associate veterinarian in small animal practices throughout the Winston-Salem area.
What schools did you attend before becoming a Veterinarian?
I attended Wake Forest University and graduated with my bachelor’s in biology, and continued on to Iowa State University CVM, where I obtained my DVM in 2018.
Why did you choose this profession?
I chose this profession because it combines my love for animals and my interest in medicine. I really enjoy the wide variety of care I get to provide each day.
What is your favorite part of your job, or your favorite things about veterinary care?
I like a lot of different parts of my job. I enjoy the variety — from urgent care to wellness visits, surgery to medicine, and working with pets of all ages, from juveniles to geriatric patients. I also really value getting to work closely with pet owners to help them care for their animals.
What are your personal hobbies and interests?
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending my free time riding and competing with my horses.
